Helping people share their light

Most people find us through a camera. What keeps them working with us is everything that happens around it.

ACSHOT MEDIA is part photography, part videography, part creative collaboration. Our work is sharp, bold, and bright, but the instinct underneath it is passion, for the moments that deserve to be seen. Shared. Loved.

The shooting style itself isn't fixed, that's part of the process. On the discovery call, we figure out what the moment actually calls for: sometimes it's working the perimeter, letting the wider scene breathe and unfold on its own. Sometimes it's moving in close, catching the small, unscripted moments nobody else would think to hold onto.

Somewhere along the way, clients started asking for more than deliverables. They started asking us to just be there, because what we bring into a room isn't just an extra pair of hands, it's presence. We read the energy, we set the pace, and people tend to follow it without needing to be told to. That's not something we perform for the camera, it's how we show up, period.

So whether we're behind the lens or working the room itself, the job is the same: we carry the weight so the host doesn't have to, and we do it in a way people feel the moment we walk in.

How this started

Thirteen years ago, I began my first career sitting inches from someone's face as a facial tattoo artist. I spent more than a decade learning how to read people closely, work with precision, and understand the weight of being trusted with something permanent.

During those same years, I worked nights behind a bar in banquet halls and event centers, watching rooms come together and fall apart in real time. Photography found me somewhere in the middle of all of it. I photographed a rock band on tour and an EDM group with a recurring monthly show, learning how to stay true to each act's visual identity while still finding something new in familiar faces, familiar rooms, and repeated performances.

About eight months before moving to Florida, I was shooting more actively than ever. Then it was simply time to close the tattoo chapter. It had given me everything it had to give, and after eleven years, I was able to leave on my own terms instead of waiting for the career to decide for me.

Florida became the fresh start. Managing Costco's sampling program gave me steady ground while I figured out what the next chapter was supposed to look like.

I left that job at the end of October. By the following May, I had picked the camera back up, and this time it felt different. It was no longer something I was trying to sell. It was something I genuinely loved doing again.
